Hah, I've got the same issue Nick. And I thought I was alone! I've been growing my hair for two months but it doesnt get lower, theres just a lot more on my head. I think headbanging could be our cure, we just need to keep a lot of aspirin on hand tongue.gif.

I used to have the same afro-from-hell problem as well when I'd try and grow out my hair. I'd let it get to that point and then just cut it because I felt like people were always staring at what I thought was terrible hair. After a while, I just stopped caring about what other people thought and let it grow. Eventually, with a lot of help from conditioner, gravity took hold and it began to slowly descend from my head.

Make sure you get a good conditioner to help you out, or consider using a hair straightening iron if it really bothers you.

You have to cut the tops off (split ends) every 6-7 weeks or so \M/

In case you misunderstood, and took that as a sarcastic response from me, the word there isn't a misspelled "Nothing".

But I didn't know you had to cut the split ends at all, I had never considered cutting any part of the hair at all if you were trying to grow it out.

I took it that way, yes, not that I understand "noting" either but anyway, I'm glad it wasn't sarcastic.

Yup, how contraticious it may sound the hair will grow better if you cut an inch or 1/2 inch say every 6-8 weeks. And always use balsam.

I finally cut all mine off to a "normal" hair do. Was too warm in the summers and too much work to wash and dry it. tongue.gif

Means "taking note of" or "paying attention to"

A perfect example of how an innocuous post can be taken entirely the wrong way! I re-read AYen's comment with nothing instead of noting and winced wink.gif Noone is at fault here I hasten to point out but it is interesting how easily misunderstandings can start ...

Hair grows from the root, not the end, so that is actually wrong. wink.gif

I like to keep my hair relatively long, it's ended up in a mopey emo styling at the moment - completely accidentally. laugh.gif

You shouldn't cut it one inch from the scalp every 6-8 weeks. mellow.gif

laugh.gif

Split ends are good if one like it junkie style tongue.gif That's what I meant with grow "better", not faster.
Someone check with Fabio to get this cleared out once and for all!! laugh.gif

You can buy Solocapos diatery supplement... It's vitamins but helps.
One of my good friends is a hairdresser. He cuts hair for the stars and I asked him if he knew of anything that helps grow hair faster. He told me about Solocaps. You should try it!
You can get it at any Vitamin store.

The real problem is that your English is so damn good! It doesn't occur to anyone that you aren't a native speaker, so absolutely no allowance is made for it - and that is true of the vast majority of non native English speakers on the board - I applaud you all!
