For some time now, when I'm playing, even if it's stuff that doesn't actually make me tense, my right arm bicep starts to feel a bit of discomfort, any ideas why?

If you're picking from the wrist, and your arm is relaxed while doing so, you shouldn't be flexing your bicep at all.

If you lift weights or picked something heavy up recently, your picking technique could be aggravating it.

Hahhahaha laugh.gif You are crazy guys! I smell a GMC comic here smile.gif

On the topic - try experimenting with your position, try playing standing up. Probably you are just tensing up too much your whole arm when playing. Try to relax as much as possible. Also, maybe you overworked your biceps with some exercise (non guitar related)? It should go away in a day or two.

I agree. Have you done anything strenuous prior to noticing the pain? Also, are you warming up by stretching your fingers, hands, muscles, doing wrist rolls, etc. prior to playing? I'm no expert by any means, but these are the first ideas that come to mind.
