The actual question is - do you believe or not?

This post was inspired by a strange thing that occurred last November, when I had the unexpected opportunity of being close to a spirit (at least this is the conclusion)

To make a long story short, I have a friend who can communicate with dead people - some sort of a weird gift - sounds crazy doesn't it? Back then, I was dating a girl whose grandpa died 5 years ago. She loved him very much and she told me a lot of stuff about him, details and such.

One afternoon, the medium friend and my girlfriend met in my house accidentally - the guy immediately told me that there is someone else with her, almost all the time...I thought I was going crazy biggrin.gif I never actually believed him before, you know, but I was curious to see what he had to say.

Well, from that point on I grew very scared, as the guy was telling me all the details I knew about my girlfriend's grandpa ... pfffff. Nothing actually happened, though my friend insisted that the grandpa's spirit was near me :| biggrin.gif

From that point on, I started giving this whole deal a lot of thought - what happens to us after we pass away... and more importantly, do we get to play guitar? Ever? biggrin.gif just joking with the last questions tongue.gif

What's your story, if you have one of course...are you a believer in such things?

I must admit that I want to believe because I love ghost stories ! smile.gif But I probably wouldn't be able to sleep if I thought they really were around... laugh.gif

"if I die tomorrow, I'd be alright, because I believe...
that after we're gone, the spirit carries on" wink.gif

Well, I never made such an experience, and I don't exactly believe in ghosts, but I think a human beings aura (if we wanna call it that) can send some signals that really sensitive people (like your friend) can receive. Like when you see someone you know and even before that person says something, you can tell their exact mood and that something has happened to them just before you met them...if that makes sense to any of you.

what if there was a ,lets say a spirit , that had been around everybody- forever- and everything you have said, everything you have done- it remembers, and the same with everybody else, would this spirit then be able to piece everyone's stories together,
being able to link( we will use this story as an example, the spirit knew the story about the relative , so now all it has to do is feed the story to the medium,it did not need to see the relative there because it new the story that you and your girlfried neede to here ) and look how you have been hooked. now could not this spirit just about be able to lead you anywhere it wanted your mind to wander

the only problem is , is it good or is it bad , and how would you know?

I don't exactly believe in spirits of dead people still wandering around in this mortal world.....but i do believe that there are other "entities" that are capable of taking the form of the deceased and going around haunting people. I think the ties between you and your loved ones are severed the moment they are buried. All you have left is their memories wink.gif

Hey Cosmin, speaking of the spO_0ky stories, could we talk a little about Transylvania and Vlad Tepes ?!!
Have you been there, in the famous castle of Count Dracula ?

hey Sinisa smile.gif I've been there a lot of times since I was a kid - but the actual thing is that Vlad NEVER actually lived in that castle biggrin.gif but... BUT, there's this other place called the Fortress Poienari - built in 1280 I think, by Negru Voda, a legendary romanian ruler - which is on a different mountain than the Brann Castle (the one everyone knows as count Dracula's castle) which was re-built by Vlad Tepes and it is so high that you have to climb 1500 stairs to get inside.

It's high up on a cliff from which you can see the whole valey smile.gif the thing is, that this place is supposedly occupying the third place among the most haunted places in the whole world.

I went there with the same friend who has special powers and guess what...he told me...it's nice, but let's go smile.gif later on that day he told me that he could see the ancient soldiers patrolling the battlements and one of them told him that it's not our place here and that we should go. This is the first time that this friend of mine told me about his powers smile.gif of course, I didn't believe him at first, but after last year's encounter with the ghostly grandpa..I don't know. Anyway, Vlad killed a lot of people in that place, making them work on the fortress walls until they fell off the cliff (they were a clan of betrayers who wanted him dead, the lot of them)

Great story Cosmin ! smile.gif

I always wondered where is a connection between real and fictional Dracula.I did some checking and came to this:

"Most authorities believe the character of Dracula in Bram Stoker’s novel was based upon the historical figure Vlad Tepes , who intermittently ruled an area of the Balkans called Wallachia in the mid 15th century."

HERE is a link that explains the whole situation!

Finally, about the spooky stories,.......... bloodsuckers are everywhere around us wink.gif
