Pbr is "PreBand-release".

If you take a look at the bottom of main tab (at least in my lessons) you can see explanation of each abbreviation.

What is a Pre bend? You either are or arent bending, and if not, wouldnt it just be considered a note? If you are, than wouldnt it just be a bend?

It's useful for the pbr thing. You could I guess just go to the note you're bending to and then slide down to the desired note, but it gets a different and sometimes desireable sound when you pre bend it, then release it. It's about the only way you can bend DOWN a note.
