Well, it goes similar for me to guys, some songs come and go if not played, and some stick around if I play them often. I've heard stories of people that have excellent musical memory, and can recall lots of different pieces, but don't count me there, I forget often

I usually have the same problem well, I usually learn songs and after the performance, the ones which I don't play often enough, disappear from my system. It's only natural for the unused info to disappear I guess. If you have a tremendously good ear, you'll figure them out faster than usual, but if you don't shuffle through them from time to time, you have all the chances to forget, so don't worry the same happens to me... it's natural. Sometimes I wonder if our mind is like a HD with a fixed capability... -------------------- My lessons

It's true about cover gigs. I also did some, and they are very memory-intensive. Learn songs fast - play them good. Fortunately, if there are minor mistakes, band can cover you, so the golden rule applies: if you don't know the chords - just scratch
