Hydraulic Log Splitter !

Do you guys ever see a really cool power tool or manly piece of machinery and think 'I want that' even though you don't really need one ? I do...

I think to make this even cooler, you'd have to go to the USA and do it there.. so Todd or Mudbone, let's get together, hire one of these and watch the hours fly by !!

the other week I had to drill 18 inch, 4 inch diameter hole through re-bar reinforced concrete ( took 2 hours and I had to stand in the puddle of water the electric drill was making

Ben, This is great....I often find myself with a lot of wood to split and little time to do it, this massive and unnecessary log splitter would be perfect!

I rented one of these things once. Our house is kind of in the forest and when we built it we had to cut about 6 trees down for the foundation. Instead of having them hauled off, I asked the builder to leave them on the property so that I could have some firewood. I rented a chainsaw first and cut up the 6 trees which turned out to be about 3 chords of wood then got the log splitter to do the rest. It took me a full day. Man, by the end of that day I was beat. But we had enough firewood to last a long time. Only burning on weekend evenings it lasted a few years. Great fun weilding all that power. Lots of tough work for sure though.

Ben, Todd and I live in the South, so that means we can drill holes in those logs, pack 'em full of gun powder, and blow them up! Then we can spend all day trying to find all the pieces

Very cool video. I never though I'd watch a 10 minute video of a machine, but I kind of got hooked on it. I love the precision. I think todays modern machines are able to put incredibly great guitars into the hands of players for way less money than before this stuff existed. Isn't technology fantastic?

I found a pioneering model, and the price suits me, just to build garage ! Copy wood machine , with a possibility of processing 3D models to work !!!
