For me, I usually have everything on my 160 GB ipod (it's actually almost full). Other than that, if I'm running or just chilling at home I use pandora.

I love pandora because of how it lets me discover so many new, interesting bands.

160 GB of music! Wou! I'm curious... what music styles do you have?

This is basically what I do as well! I use pandora when I'm working at the computer, but in the car or anywhere else I use my Ipod.

Cool thread smile.gif At work it's through my imac/external audio interface (Tascam Fire One) and Mackie Monitors or SHURE Headphones. Usually Spotify/Pandora/iTunes. So it's all highly compressed/streamed, but it's usually low volume so ease of use wins over quality at work for me.

At home it's through my recording rig. I've ripped lots of CD's in high bit rate or uncompressed formats and they sound great on a fullish range system.

Even in small compressed formats that fills extremely quick, you'd be surprised. When I had a 500gb hard drive for music, I always rip in Lossless/uncompressed formats, and 500gb is only about 40 cd's for me, out of over 400 laugh.gif

Many of you guys say "Spotify" and "Pandora". I don't know them, I'm now checking what they are....

one minute...

after the search.... sad.gif

Pandora:

Dear Pandora Visitor,

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative.

Spotify:

I don't have an ipad. sad.gif

I dont use spotify but I am pretty sure any computer, mac or pc can download the app? You shouldnt need an iPad.

Either way they are basically internet radio stations which I believe have some degree of customizable preferences in them.

SPOTIFY is a Windows Application also, so bop over to spotify.com and ignore the bit about ipad and look "we also support windows/mac/etc." click on that.

It's AWESOME. Almost any song you can imagine.

Pandora is a streaming service that is pretty spiff, but it's WAY LAME that they have international limits on it sad.gif
