Both tracks are fresh and inspiring. I want want to hear both albums when they come out. I like listening to the Kiko stuff more cause of all the guitar acrobatics.

That was interesting to watch. That first guitar he is playing has like 27 frets! I can see why it is hard for him to choose which guitar to play sometimes. smile.gif

Is it a sin in these forums to utter the words "I don't enjoy Steve Vai's style so much" ? tongue.gif I mean he is obviously a brilliant guitar player but he uses too much whammy bar for my taste biggrin.gif

I enjoyed Steve's song to some extent, although I think that him and Joe have stopped making memorable music for some time... For me Joe Satriani, spoke his last memorable lines in 2003 - If I could fly, if I am not mistaken is a great song, but after the album on which this was featured, I haven't been hooked in any way by anything he did composition wise.

As for Steve - I enjoyed that song called Building the Church from the 2005 album, but Alive in an ultra world, was really the last great one for me.

They are fantastic players, but somehow they don't make mindblowing music anymore - for me at least...

Good entry. I'm now thinking on any musician that has kept creating mindblowing music during their whole musical career.... any ideas?

But how do we truly know that for sure ? All the famous classical guys will have many pieces that were lacklustre and very formulaic.. we know the famous pieces. Most of those guys composed literally hundreds of pieces... there would have been a lot of average stuff in there smile.gif
