Hey guys! I just noticed that Motley Crue's has released a new single... are you still interested in them? (maybe you've never been). I'm glad to know that a legendary hard rock band like this one is still active and delivering new stuff.

I like their original stuff.

I didn't like this new single. It just seems like they're trying too hard to be the young band that they once were.

I personally enjoyed some songs from Saints a lot... I like their new sound and I think that these newer songs are interesting.

I also like this song from their more industrial album called Generation Swine

Too Fast for Love, Shout at the Devil and Theatre of Pain were big influences on my band at the time of their release. We used to cover quite a few Crue songs!
I still like them.

yeah, I thought the title track 'saints of LA' was their best for a while, certainly my favourite of their newer stuff. Also 'mutherf** of the year' was particularly good smile.gif

Motley crue was actually the first band I saw live! It was during their theatre of pain tour and they were totally brilliant biggrin.gif I bought a Kramer guitar soon after that coz I wanted to do divebombs like Mick Mars!

Crue at their worst are still better than so many bands that actually chart. Of course, it's easy to get stuck in the "early stuff" as it was quite simply better smile.gif Too Fast For Love, Shout at the Devil, were both AMAZING albums. But bands can't just remake the same album forever. Some bands breakup rather than do that. Carcass for example. After Hearwork, what were they gonna do? Heartwork II?

Shout at the Devil is a legitimately cool album ! The first thing I ever heard from Crue was Dr Feelgood.. that riff blew me away. It was all I'd play for weeks !! biggrin.gif

yeah, I remember Metallica saying that when they heard "Dr Felgood", they wanted to sound like that! That's why they called the same producer.

It is indeed, as is Too Fast For Love! Theatre of Pain was OK, went to see the Tour and remember walking out with my friends and we all felt a bit disappointed with Mick Mars when we realised that our mate Russ (who was with us) was a far better guitarist!!!

I still have the bright PINK Tour T Shirt!!!

I have never seen them live but as I started listening them in the beginning of 90's I remember that I bought the compilation "Decade of Decadence" and it was amazing... if you haven't checked their old stuff, go for it and you will really enjoy it.
