I've been following Black Veil Brides since their inception.

I have to say I do like them a lot. They may not be the greatest but you can tell that they love what they do. Most of their songs may be fairly cliche but they are also catchy and I end up going back for more.

I will say I don't know if the fame has gone to the lead singer's head. Andy Biersack is a very talented vocalist but I saw his performance at the Golden God Awards and was incredibly let down. Maybe there was just a problem with him hearing but he sounded awful.

Some reports said that he was wasted and didn't know what was going on but it was bad.

All in all, I think they are a solid band that will stick around for a while.

They seem to draw TONS of haters but the ladies certainlly dig em. Their concerts are packed with cuties.
They are fans of early 80s Metal and some of their early vids look straight off SHOUT AT THE DEVIL.

They have since toned it down a bit. They seem like a modern rock band who can at least play their own instruments and come across with a lot of energy. Gotta give em props for that at least.

yeah, I saw that concert and it was sooo bad. I also saw an older concert and I noticed that the singer also sang bad, while the guitar player played all those shredy solos with lots of wrong, and muted notes. Maybe the guitarist has been replaced but I'm not sure if the singer can really sing like in the albums live...

To be honest, I've had the same thought. A lot of their older live shows weren't that great. Andy can sing, but I think he runs out of gas quick. They seem to be more of a band that you go to for the entertainment rather than the quality.

Still, I have to give them props though, they are a fun band who has potential to keep growing!

I haven't heard of them before. So for someone who is listening to them for the first time my impression was: it started off promising but then the guy started singing and that was it for me biggrin.gif it is somehow like a mix of pop and rock I think..

They are heavily influenced by the Crue....maybe we will see an explosion of big time music from them!

Even though their guitar playing is super generic, I kinda like it. The singer bores me to tears though laugh.gif

Cuties heh? Better get a ticket when they start touring Germany again laugh.gif
I always avoided these metalbands that look like...well...them. But their music is kinda cool.

Can't comment on their live shows but in general i cant really take these guys seriously. A bit to "Try hard" for my liking. Not really a fan of the fake personas these band put on.
For me its about the music. But hey, thats just me
A buddy of mine plays in a Glam band and its a strugle to take em seriously sometimes! Keep having to remind them what year it is! laugh.gif

I tabbed a few of their songs on GP5 for some of my students, personally I think they're garbage.

This is the deal: the record label found a segment of the market they could capitalize on, and pretty much created this band. Wherever there is a demand, there will be a supply. The record company realized that there was a demand for a gothic hard rock/metal band that appeals to girls, and therefore molded this band to appeal to that demand.

They're living every guitarists dream - playing gigs and scoring chicks. Can't hate them for that wink.gif

Lots of people hate them and I think they are overrated, but I do quite enjoy them. I think they're good songwriters and Perfect Weapon is a fantastic song. Some of the guitar solos are just... amateur, but overall I quite the band.
