That's good but it does miss out the stages of the artist saying ' I don't have the money to record a quality album of my music?' and 'How do I get people to notice me and my music amongst all the rest of the stuff on the internet?

But I guess that's where the Periphery Thread takes over!'

Nice! That pretty much covers it smile.gif The periphery thread does start to get in to the bits that record companies used to be good at such as breaking talent, promoting new artists. Etc. Among the biggest challenges facing indie artists, anonymity is probably one of the BIGGEST. Piracy is not your enemy,

ANONYMITY IS YOUR ENEMY!

With so much new much and so many new bands able to record at home and release via CD baby, getting above the noise is often the barrier standing in the way even if the music is quite good.

Periphery is a great example of breaking through the noise and connecting with an audience.
