Hi guys! I play with Cirse in a party oriented to modern Alternative/Punk/Emo/Post-Hardcore/Metal bands and the cool thing is that I discovered or remembered bands that I had forgotten, like this Alkaline Trio. For any reason I relate this band to Jimmy Eat World, maybe it's because both play alternative punk rock but sound very original.

I've always like what I heard on the music channels of AT but never bought any of their stuff. I must remedy this.

I've always classified Jimmy Eat World as a more up to date take on Power Pop (think Cheap Trick, Big Star, Gin Blossoms etc), especially their newer albums.

Definitely, i've been playing their last few albums in the car a lot lately. Each album usually has 1 song that just resonates with me, not that the others are bad, just a special song that hits me hard

I was CRAZY about the shoes in this video ()3.32) - the brand is called Joe's Garb and a lot of American rock stars are wearing them biggrin.gif

There was this big wave of band in the early 2000 late 90's which had a lot to deal with 'American pie' type movies biggrin.gif Lit and Jimmy Eat world are both from that era! I kinda miss those times man sad.gif

That's true Cosmin! Although Jimmy Eat World are still around...no clue about Lit though.
I loved their songs "Ziplock" and "Over my head"...and there are not even good versions on youtube. It's a shame!

me too! but at the same time I'm happy of being able to enjoy the new waves of modern punk/hardcore/metal bands. Every era has its own killer bands, ad for any reason we believe that they are not as the older ones, but when 10 years past we realise that those bands were as amazing as the previous ones... at least that happened to me... now that I discovered it, I try to enjoy new music as much as the older one.
