Yeah, and Flying V and RR forms of guitars are made for males!!!

Pretty uncomfortable shapes man, I owned the Randy Rhoads Jackson back in 99 - it was my first guitar, but I somehow couldn't play it that well sitting down, as I was always constrained to keep it in the classical position (I hadn't had a clue what's what and I wanted to keep it side saddle of course laugh.gif )

I can't imagine how difficult it must have been, trying to play that RR side saddle !

Btw, I had never heard that term 'side saddle' before our very own Todd Simpson used it.... respect to Todd for enriching our guitar vocabulary ! biggrin.gif

I don't know if Todd would want us referring to him in a " Todd appreciation day" within a thread entitled "if you were a girl part 2

Well thanks guys smile.gif Yeah, I always try to avoid playing "Side Saddle" if at all possible. It works for some folks though!

Here is the Wiki Definition. (Although I"m using it to mean putting your guitar on your right leg instead of sitting in proper Classical position ARGGGHH!)

SIDE SADDLE
***Sidesaddle riding is a form of Equestrianism that uses a type of saddle which allows a rider (usually female) to sit aside rather than astride a horse, mule or pony. Sitting aside dates back to antiquity and developed in European countries in the Middle Ages as a way for women in skirts to ride a horse in a modest fashion while also wearing fine clothing. It has retained a specialty equestrian niche even in the modern world.

Yes, it is an unusual looking way of riding. People still do it and compete in the discipline. smile.gif
