> IS THAT YOUR MAMA?

Nope didn't think so either. We all know parents don't get this.

I can show you how to be the virtuoso your folks could only dream about, but I first need your help:

* Pm me and I will show you where to start. I am online every day and I will help you out directly!

* Join my mentoring program. I will customize your learning experience in a way you haven't experienced before. We will have regular contact so that you can remain inspired every day and eventually reach a new level.

* Join my next video chat! GMC startpage holds a video chat schedule. We always cover a lot of ground and have fun. Remember that you don't need any previous knowledge, and you can be passive in the chat.

* Jam with me - you will find active collabs here.

* Post a topic on this board, guitar related or not - doesn't matter! You will find that chatting with instructors boosts your motivation to practice.

* You haven't missed my latest video lessons, have you?

* Oh and did you know that to become a killer guitarist you just need to focus on one thing? Everything
else is secondary. Pm me and I will explain.

Hey John! This is definitely better but It's still a bit shaky in some spots, that meaning that you tend to hesitate a little, but just enough for me to hear it biggrin.gif Give it some more time and in meanwhile, why not work on the other one? With the chord tapping? biggrin.gif

Ok! I'll work on both of those... Also, I'd like to start getting my rhythms tighter and more varied. Something metal (chunky, palm muted stuff). Unless you think I should master the tapping lessons first. And, I'm also pretty comfortable playing all the notes on the neck at 60bpm. I can't really sing them cold, but after I hear the note, I know where the notes in the same octave are on each string, and what note is going to be an octave higher or lower. If you want me to record anything like that, let me know.

Uh oh! That's great John! I am very much glad to hear that your ears are working this good! We will take on ear training a bit later on anyway wink.gif as I find it crucial for ANY musician out there.

In any case, rhythm is a very important aspect and it will help out lead tremendously as well.

After we get the tapping lessons done, I would like to see you tackle the lesson called Metal Metrics 4 smile.gif a recording will do justice and show me where you stand with riffing!

Do we have a deal, good Sir?

We have a deal! I'll continue working on the two tapping lessons until they're perfect. Hopefully later this week I can post some good takes!

Does that mean I have to do a video? I'm getting close on the chord tapping, too. Just need to get the left hand change a little better!

OK! Here is a take at the clean 2 handed tapping lesson. Let me know how this sounds. I'm still working on video now... I get nothing but a blank screen so far. But, I'm working on it!

Thanks! I'm grateful for your help, too! Hopefully I can figure out my video problem soon. I'm trying to use microsoft movie maker. It records video ok, I just can't see anything in preview mode in order it sync the music. I may just have to use the laptop speaker, but it probably wouldnt sound good at all.

That will help a lot, thanks! I had to downgrade MovieMaker from 2012 to 2.6. That seems to work well from me and I can record and edit video now! Now I can use the info in this video to put it all together! So, hopefully later this week I can get the videos done.

wink.gif But the progress is there! Congratulations mate! I have nothing else to comment - as Alex said, there were a few unwanted noises, but hey it's just the first vid out of the many tapping ones to come biggrin.gif Very good work!

Yep - Heres the other tapping lesson. (Minus the knee... laugh.gif ) Anyway, videos are tough, my computer crashes every few minutes when I'm trying to edit, so I just get "close enough" and upload before it crashes again.
