This is a cool track.. that opening riff is my favourite part, with those unison bends - really effective !

The sweep/tap technique is great.. the guitar sounded a bit flat though. One thing you can do is if you record a great take but notice it's out of tune afterwards, you should be able to use the pitch shift function in your DAW to shift the pitch up or down in increments.

You also have a tendency to play in front of the beat a lot, so it sounds like you're rushing. If you can hone those 2 areas your overall delivery will improve massively smile.gif

I am with Ben on this one - you have to focus on gaining a good timing so that the piece will sound groovy rather than rushed. Once you manage to hone this skill, it will improve your playing overall!

I like the video and I'm looking forward to see more! You should make friends with Gabe Rodriguez - AKA derper, here at GMC. He has a band called Emulator, with which he performs video games music biggrin.gif

Ha!! Sure enough, I rushed to check out this video!! Great tune, great video!!

So far, EMULATOR has been "strictly NES". We're aiming to add some great SNES material soon, and there has always been a demand to come over to the dark-side (Sega). I was just saying a few days ago, that I (gasp!!) actually like the Sonic music overall, more than Mario. Though, the Mario music is more recognizable to most. The Sonic music is more hard-edged, and energetic....whereas the Mario stuff is mostly pretty "happy" and lighthearted. So, the Mario stuff breaks up our set a bit, to help keep the ladies happy in between rippin' Metal Gear/MegaMan/Contra themes.

Also....the Sega Outrun music is really cool. And I could play "Shadowrun" for Genesis for days on end.

DUDE!! I absolutely LOVED the Road Rash series, but 2 is the BEST!!

I'm pretty certain that 2 has a song that sounds very similar to part of a Joe Walsh tune... It's the groove that starts at 3:00

I've always had this "theory", but now I will find the RR tune to compare....

Ha!! It's very "Joe Walsh"

Well, in THAT case.... let me present to you, THE RoadRash2 tune that you NEED to turn into your next GMC lesson!!! I love that it waits until 0:45 or so to kick in with more than a rhythm. It goes until about 2:30, hits the beginning breakdown riff and officially "repeats" at about 2:59. (Why I am telling you this, as if you can't figure it out?!! That song is just BEGGING to be turned into a metal-style guitar lesson!

**DANGER!! Once you hear this song, you will not sleep until you embark on making it a lesson!!**
