Alright mate! I'm on it wink.gif

Hey, Cosmin. Just checking in. I'm still working on the vibrato lesson. It's slow going, and pretty odd, but I'll probably record something for your opinion in a few days.

Well, mainly that I can't hear any vibrato when doing the classical style. I switched to lighter strings (9s), and can really only hear it on the wound strings. I can hear a difference with the typical up-down vibrato, so using a wide circle makes a uniform vibrato sound, but I don't think its totally what the lesson is trying to accomplish.

Also, on the e string, I occasionally pull it off the side of the fretboard. I push the string towards the center of the fretboard, but sometimes during the release, I go a little too far.

I think I'll get it. It may just take lomger than the other lessons.

Hey man, it's only a matter of control smile.gif Nothing more nothing less - when doing the classical style, you must exaggerate a bit in order to see the effects of your actions and then dose the effort in such a way that you will obtain a fluid sound. Same with the E string - execute the motion slow and see where you have to stop in order not to go 'overboard' biggrin.gif

Let me know if there's something more and...use your ears when vibrating, mate smile.gif They NEVER lie to you!

Thanks. You're right. It's all in the control. I took it one note at a time and tonight was a LOT better. So, hopefully I'll be able to put it all together soon!

wink.gif That's the spirit! In the mean time, remember to work on dynamics as well - I mean, when vibrating, try to be more or less aggressive in order to observe the results. It will prove very useful later on when you will want to apply various dynamics to your vibrato in phrasing smile.gif
