I do!

And here are two of my recently made drawings...

Bad Hair Day is a random bandname. The band doesn't exist (yet).

And both drawings are, ofcourse, related to guitar!

Post your drawings here!

-Maarten

You're pretty good! I like to draw in Flash, but I can't go farther than little effects, like smoke. Here are two of mine.

I believe Uncreator is great at drawing, lets see what he has to say.

I spend a few hours a day knocking off some sketches, my most recent one is a sketch of a Luis Royo paiting, as seen in my sig, and here are some other ones i drew.

"Retribution Through The Ages, 2007"

"The Hunter, 2007"

"The Amaranth, 2007"

None of them are actually finished, or, well those arent the finished versions.

My favorite artists are Luis Royo, Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell, Frank Frazetta, Joseph Michael Linsner, Michael Turner, Billy Tucci, Hajime Soriyama, and many others smile.gif

Very nice art guys! I like to draw but just doodles, I have never really finished a complete sketch. I am currently designing my next tattoo though. I have decided if I will get a tattoo it will be my own design and have some kind of meaning.

@Ayen very well done! I have used flash in the past and to do just that short animation, would be very time consuming. You made it very clean and I think you gotta keep up the good work, you obviously are pretty experienced in flash.

Uncreator, your drawings come out extremely clean and realistic. What drawing method do you use, squares, triangles and cylinders, then slowly add detail and erase?

Hemlok, you don't know how much that means to me. I usually consider myself a sub-par artist, including anything drawn in Flash. That was a major self esteem boost smile.gif. That was drawn on a tablet though, making it much easier than it would normally be.

Tablet or no tablet, I too have a tablet and it doesn't mean you don't still put alot of work into it. Most people do not understand what has to be done to create a flash animation, I used to hang out on Newgrounds.com alot some of the flash artists on there are amazing, making 5+ minute really detailed animated movies. Good place to get tips and such too.

Another good place is SFDT.com, it's basically 100% flash, 0% adult ads, because you know when someones looking over your shoulder, you really don't want them to see those.

I used to draw weapons for animations, something I actually considered myself pretty good at.

Here are some links to movies with my guns in them:

Well i go through several steps.

01. Get an idea
02. Draw out several manequin sketches (4-5), pick the one i like best
03. Draw a "Finer" manequin sketch of the several ones i drew before, Make a few of them so i can vary what i do on the following steps (if i decide to change clothes, or a weapon, i can go to a premade manequin sketch instead erasing another)
04. Add minor details like figure shape (Legs, Hips, Chests)
05. Once the frame is done, erase any traces of the Manequin i drew
06. Refine the the outline of legs, hips, chests, face ect.
07. Add detail to more specific things, eyes, hairs, nose, any tattoos i put on them
08. Add the clothing, swords, or any accessories, work on background (if any)
09. Refine everything, get as specific as i can with it, down to the slightest crease in lips or shape
10. Add lighting (Shading)
11. Leave it alone for a few hours, come back, if i still like it i keep it, if i see something wrong, i throw it out and restart (only if its intended for a final copy, sketches ill keep thousands of, but if its intended to be the final one, and i worked for 3 hours on it, if i see something wrong that bother me, ill throw the whole thing out, bad habit, sometimes it will take me several days to do a single picture because of this).

12. Hopefully my final product will look something like this.

This level of deatil often takes me up to 3 days.

PS

Your flash stuff is awesome, i tryed that and i know how hard that is, you got great talent on that, keep at it!

Thanks guys. I really appreciate it, I actually feel motivated to make something now biggrin.gif.

Uncreator, you're my new inspiration for drawing. I'm going to use those 12 steps in every picture I draw from now on.

My favorite artist is Ganbat Badamkhand, a mongolian guy who I found because he does the concept art for Mount&Blade, a pretty fun medieval game I play, but he astounds me. Some of his stuff is very simple but has so much soul, and some of it gets extremely detailed and amazing.

http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthrea...ighlight=ganbat

Check out his sketchbook on conceptart ^^

I do draw myself but I don't have a scanner or anything so I don't have anything to show. I used to do a lot of pixel stuff in paint, and I also do some stuff in photoshop/gimp, but not much recently. I used to collaborate with a friend of mine in france where he's a great illustrator and I would ink his stuff.

[edit] changed the link to start at page one, sorry tongue.gif

Woah, I really like Ganbat's style. He seems to start drawings with general brushes in the shape of what he's drawing, then adds detail later.

You can probably get a trial version over at Macromedia.com . To get it, you have to buy it, or do something illegal, which I can't and won't explain.

Some pretty interesting stuff going on here....

I like your Luis Royo pictures Uncreator, he is deffinitly one of my favourite artists. Im also fan of Frank Frazetta too but sadly I lost all my years of art i had collected on my computer awhile ago so all I have left is my Luis Royo posters.

I was gonna say something else but I forgot.
