Hey everyone!

Since I was feeling I miss playing classical music, I decided to get you involved as well in a little activity meant to train your ears, technique and dynamics! What if Mozart came to you and said

'Betcha can't play this!!'

I will post here little pieces from the musical creations of the great classics - Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi and many more and here's your end of the deal:

You can take turns on figuring them out by ear and then recording yourself playing them. You can post your take in a video or audio format without any worries smile.gif

Let's have fun with some Mozart to start with! I will always post a fast version and a slow version - all the phrases will be short so, you won't have to worry about the quantity, just work your ears out and then record against a metronome smile.gif Speed doesn't matter - I'm interested in you managing to sort out every note and every nuance biggrin.gif

So, who goes first? biggrin.gif

Cosmin

Here is my version @ 100 bpm. I've learned some things by ear but I think for the first time ever I figured out what key the music is in. I won't answer cause others are working this out too.

Anyway, I think I have all the notes correct. Maybe missing some nuances, but not totally sure. smile.gif

Here's my take @ 100 BPM smile.gif tried to be as correct as possible. I don't mean to boast but my ear is pretty well developed, as I'm mostly self-taught and I started learning, and still learn, mostly by ear; I just try to play something I like over and over again till I get most of the parts right smile.gif

Recognized the key almost instantly but still needed some time to practice and build muscle memory tongue.gif biggrin.gif

Hey Sam! This sounds well executed, so now you can move on to interpretation tongue.gif Try to play along with the original track (Mozart - Eine Kleine Nachtmusik Pt.4). Imitate the orchestra's feel and see what you can get biggrin.gif
