Congratulations! Exciting time for you and say goodbye to sleep for the next year! I remember the biggest shock for me was realizing what a dent diapers made in my monthly budget. The best thing you can do is go ahead now and set up a college fund, a 529, to grow interest. A little in now will grow a whole lot in 17 years. I am so happy we took my parents advice on that as if we had not my son wouldn't be capable of going to college now.

Savor every moment while they're little, they grow up so fast and one day you'll look back and miss those little innocent eyes looking up to you and relying on every word you say as gospel truth.

Thanks guys, appreciate the thoughts. Waiting now with my wife as she starts her journey into labor. Also appreciate the advice on the 529. This is my third child actually so I remember the cost impact for all the child care needs for the infants. Back to waiting....
