We need a Critic forum!!

What do you think. I mean w/e we can do there obviously we can do in any other forum. But many people Perceive it as being flamed, or being made in fun of. Well In this forum it wouldnt be. It may help clear up a few things. Show ratings on certain things. Im not for sure really what all a big difference it would make, since really its just the name that is different. But names are big things, adn mean a lot to people. Like this for example.

Name brand clothing. It makes people want to buy it more. Offbrand clothign that is just as good, someitmes better. Not bought so much cus its called "blahblah", and not "Polo", or "Ecko", or w/e else!!

Its just a thought. What else could you guys add to this thought!!!

Tell me if it sucks or not please!!

I don't really get the example, are we criticizing people on playing guitar, or just criticizing what we want to at the time?

Noo, just on there playing. Like assign, a certain group of people to be critics, where only those people can post on there about other poeples playign or something. People that could actually accuratly point out problems, and stuff. im not really for sure. the word Critic popped into my head, and I thought I would suggest it. So ambye we can build something out of it. Taht could help GMC in some way!!

Ive got a suggestion.

How bout a sticky thread of anything goes. Here we can post thoughts on whatever so we dont have to crowd the board w/ nonsense topics. Im not saying this is one is. I just didnt want to make another thread about a topic that would die in a couple of days.

hmm I thought we had this on the uploads board...? That was my intention at least. Perhaps we should change the title/specification on that one?

Well see, thats why Im not sure about this. Its just a suggestion though. I mean thats what I thought it was to. But people I have noticed have been talking about flaming and stuff. And its been increasing, i havent noticed it myself. its a very freindly forum. But its just a suggestion. Maybe rather than changeing the upload forum. Maybe make a separate forum, with this title, but have it do osmehting else. Im not for sure where im going with it. But im just brain storming some ideas.

I always thought honestly there really wasnt anythign bad said here at the forums. But i remember a topic, not to long ago maybe 3 days ago or so. There was a whole topic about people noticeing a bunch of Inconsiderate flaming going on. Thats what got me thinking about this. And i came up with a Critic Forum. For those of us who arent scare to get told that "we suck, and need to work on things", but hmm I dont know. I dont suggest Changing the upload forum. But maybe we can do somethign about this supposed problem that i hear about. With a Critic Forum of some sort, that allows flaming of some sort of someones material they have composed, but idk, because that woudl be the exact same as upload forum. Hmm Its just an idea.
We may be able to make something out of it though. To help people not to take some things said as "bad", but more or less, as a learning thing.

Are you kind of getting what im sayign?

might it be easier to say in the uploads forum "Any and all criticism is giving with your best interests in mind, take it if you wish" ?
also we'd have to be careful of the "you suck" comments but this is a friendly place where i'm quite sure that wont happen.

So, Kris or other instructors would only be the ones allowed to post, and point out what you're doing wrong?

I love the idea, but it might make others feel left out, not being able to post and all.

See thats why, I just suggested it. So we all can build something from it. So people dont feel as if there being mistreated in any way. biggrin.gif

And yes people may feel left out, but im not for sure. What else do you think we could add to this "Critic Forum"!!!

OR, we could make like a CRITIC TEAM, so everyone who posts on the upload board, can get insight, by the Teachers, who may or may not be the Critics. Or maybe the Critic team could be our peers, cus we learn best form the people that are at our level really, learning from each other. People are assigned like say 5 people. That well are good on specific things. Like timing, cleanliness, and such. So everybody can post, but those special people will specificly point out everythign wrong or somethign. HOws that one? Just help me add to this guys!!
