Working days and nights ..lots of overtime to deal with! If only i could smuggle a guitar into my factory

Just playing around, trying to finish some songs. Mostly rock, pop, and hard rock songs.
And I'm playing in a black/death metal band called Incipit.
Really hard to play some of the fast riffs, but I'm getting there

Other than that I've been listening a lot too Hellsingland Underground, Hellacopters, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, The Cult, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Ryan Adams, Grant Lee Buffalo, Ingrid Michaelson and Pogo Pops lately.
Nothing new, but those bands have been rocking the stereo the past months

Trying to play lead guitar (still ) Learning more Bullet for my Valentine songs. Learning to scream. And, along with it some Megadeth stuff like always

Just bought an another guitar, Esp-Ltd K-500. Also I'm waiting new pick ups to arrive. Seymour Duncan's sh-6 & sh-2.
And finally got inspiration to work on souther metal style song. I will share it when it's done

Right now I'm out on the road doing exams for the Registry of Guitar Tutors here in the UK. So not a lot of practicing going on, but days full of guitar from start to finish, so all good!

This sounds great! I've been listening to BFMV a lot lately. Learning to scream? amazing! Are you using Zen of screaming dvds?

Me too They're awesome. I am trying to use the Zen of Screaming DVD part 1. But not really getting it. So, still trying. But, must say, my screams have improved. Though I still think sometimes my voice sucks and probably doesn't suit metal.

My singing instructor tells me that my voice is best suited for RnB/ acoustic/ pop rock how about that? I managed to blend my voice into a style of metal that uses it nicely, instead of being stubborn and trying to write songs which would give me hard times

Great Nice inspiration. Though I have a high-ish voice, and I aim to get nice screams out of my diaphragm, along with some clean singing, which is not much of a problem for me. The challenge is to do it along with the guitar

We'll talk about that in your thread - I have worked on the idea myself pretty much in the last 8 months or so and the approach is purely based on... practice and consistency based on a simple principle - reducing the rhythm part to its most basic form and understanding how the vocal line blends in rhythmically, because that's the actual problem - note lengths and rests, not note values

@Gabe - you MUST share that with us, man I am uber curious!
