I have being trying to get tickets for a arctic monkeys gig thats on this Friday. I cant believe how difficult it is to try and get tickets for it. Ebay doesnt allow ticket sales anymore and the only other place I can try and get a hold of them is Gumtree which people are selling them from around £90 up to £150 and even on Gumtree there is not a lot for sale.

How easy is it to get tickets for a gig you would like to attend in your country.

In Scotland it is very hard mad.gif

In Germany, it is pretty easy.
I have to admit though, I buy the tickets often months before the event, as soon as they are on sale.
Trying to get a ticket for a gig on friday would be pretty much impossible here as well, depending on the band.

Yeah a tried to get them when they were released but they sold out very quickly. They released another 300 tickets last week and my friend was around 1400 in the queue. So mathematically had no chance there laugh.gif

My Dad worked in Germany for a good few years and said it was easy.

Here in Canada it is not bad but I guess it depends on the band, venue etc. Hockey tickets on the other hand not so easy LOL!!

Trying to get some tickets for my nephew for christmas for when I visit in March but not having much luck at the moment... any one on here from Winnipeg who can hook me up with some Jets tickets wink.gif laugh.gif

You might already be aware of this but just incase..... most of the time its best to get them in a pre-sale. They'll go on a pre-sale sometimes 48 hours before the 'official' release to the general public. That's when I always try to get my tickets, especially for the bigger bands.
If you make an account with the likes of ticketmaster and 'favourite' a certain band then that usually gives you access to any pre-sales, that's what I do anyways.
O2 usually have the same pre-sales, where they issue a code but Im not with them so I just do the ticketmaster favourite thing.

so the arctic monkeys sold out the hydro? Thats a big venue!

Is the O2 the priority moments thing. I have heard of that. Probally the best idea for me is to make a account with ticket master.

I just hate when people buy as many tickets they can with no intention of going but just wanting to make a big profit of re selling the tickets.

Yeah a think most bands that are going to the Hydro are selling it out. It will be my first time at the Hydro.I am really excited to see how it is. Then I am back in December to see Bullet For My Valentine. smile.gif

yeah O2 priorities, I think sky might have a similar thing. I got the pre-sale for Sabbath and alice cooper just by having the Ticketmaster thing.
Im through at the hydro myself in December for sabbath, looking forward to seeing what it's like. Sounds like a cool venue. Do you have your tickets for BFMV?

I'm sorry of knowing this mate. Here in Argentina it's easy. We have sites that sell the tickets online like Ticketek, Ticketmaster, and you can also go to some different points of the city where the tickets are sold. The only bad thing is that this sites add service charge costs to the tickets.

I just checked online and someone was selling a ticket for £180. Thats 6 times the face value of the ticket

Aye! I totally agree with that! smile.gif In here it's really easy as well - but you have to know in advance if you really want it OR wink.gif there's another option - I have a lot of friends on FB that can't make it at a gig they have tickets bought in advance and they sell them on FB at lower prices - heh biggrin.gif
