Hey guys! Yesterday I found the backing track (instrumental version) for this nice song by Queens of the stone age and I decided to try singing it. As I said in another thread, I'm experimenting with my voice and I discovered that this song has been natural for me, I recorded it very quickly. My idea is to compose some original stuff for my voice but I think that doing cover is a good way to explore it.
I would really like to receive feedback and comments about it. (I hate the fact that the guitar solo is full of bends which doesn't reach the correct pitch , by the way thanks to this guys for the backing LINK) https://soundcloud.com/myperfectcircles/lost-art-of-keeping-a-secret -------------------- My lessons

You have right and this song fit perfectly with your voice Sounds very cool!!! I like it!!! I'm glad that you decided to make some songs special for your voice You know, the part that I like very much at musicians is that most of them have the ability to play at diferent instruments or explore the vocal section. I guess many guys have a beautiful voice but they never tried to record something. Sometimes they have the courage just to try only like a backing vocal Thanks Monica! I also agree that there must be lots of beautiful voices to discover. http://vimeo.com/62138146 My GOD! Your voice on this recording and your vibrato sounds exactly like a friend of mine who is a talented grunge vocalist - check out his band here and hear him sing Bravo Gabi!!! Man, you have no clue of how happy I am that you are experimenting with your voice! Good going! Hey Cos! Thanks a lot for you nice words! I really appreciate it. That guys has a really interesting voice! It's grunge but very personal! Some of his vibrato make me remember to the amazing singer Jeff Buckley, is Jeff an influence for him? -------------------- My lessons

Really awesome singing Gab! Quite professional, have you had training?
I was thinking I might have to block my ears for this one, but that wasn't the case at all. |

Hmmmm, I will ask, although I don't think it is He knows about Jeff for sure, as he listens to a lot of music, but I don't know if he is such a big fan. Isn't it amazing how we each hear things with a twist? I heard you in him and you heard Jeff Buckley in him |

Always when I hear him talking, gives me energy and desire to play more and more. In the final of video when he tell: "and who knows how long it will last" was touching and true |

Really awesome singing Gab! Quite professional, have you had training? I was thinking I might have to block my ears for this one, but that wasn't the case at all. Thanks a lot friend! I used my voice for creating vocal melodies for lots of years. I created all melodies for Cirse's songs and I'm all the time creating new ones. I didn't have a formal training, but luckily I have good ears so I rarely sing out of pitch... it just happens sometimes because of a technical limitation with my voice. I have been checking some videos at youtube and got interested in the different voices that you can get... head voice, chest voice, mixed voice so I'm experimenting. Hmmmm, I will ask, although I don't think it is He knows about Jeff for sure, as he listens to a lot of music, but I don't know if he is such a big fan. Isn't it amazing how we each hear things with a twist? I heard you in him and you heard Jeff Buckley in him And it's great when this happens and we can see it. It shows how each of us has a different perception of life and things happening around us. yeah, it's really amazing. Whatever Dave says, will probably boost your energy sky high He can even give you beer when you are thirsty: yeah. Dave talking is pure inspiration. Everything he says, everything he does inspires me. His energy is energy for me. He can make me chills or cry just with some sentences. -------------------- My lessons

Me neither man - I mean I watched them, but I haven't gotten too deep into practicing.. Yet that's about to change starting with last Friday Hope I can show you some fry screaming at its best in a few months Awesome! From what I noted in my first views is that the first one shows basic singing concepts and the second one is more related to screaming. -------------------- My lessons
