Hey guys! Yesterday I found the backing track (instrumental version) for this nice song by Queens of the stone age and I decided to try singing it. As I said in another thread, I'm experimenting with my voice and I discovered that this song has been natural for me, I recorded it very quickly. My idea is to compose some original stuff for my voice but I think that doing cover is a good way to explore it.

I would really like to receive feedback and comments about it.

(I hate the fact that the guitar solo is full of bends which doesn't reach the correct pitch mad.gif , by the way thanks to this guys for the backing LINK)

You have right and this song fit perfectly with your voice smile.gif Sounds very cool!!! I like it!!! smile.gif I'm glad that you decided to make some songs special for your voice smile.gif

You know, the part that I like very much at musicians is that most of them have the ability to play at diferent instruments or explore the vocal section. I guess many guys have a beautiful voice but they never tried to record something. Sometimes they have the courage just to try only like a backing vocal smile.gif

Hey Cos! Thanks a lot for you nice words! I really appreciate it. smile.gif

That guys has a really interesting voice! It's grunge but very personal! Some of his vibrato make me remember to the amazing singer Jeff Buckley, is Jeff an influence for him?

Really awesome singing Gab! Quite professional, have you had training?
I was thinking I might have to block my ears for this one, but that wasn't the case at all.

Hmmmm, I will ask, although I don't think it is smile.gif He knows about Jeff for sure, as he listens to a lot of music, but I don't know if he is such a big fan. Isn't it amazing how we each hear things with a twist? biggrin.gif I heard you in him and you heard Jeff Buckley in him laugh.gif

Awesome this video with Dave Grohl and really inspirational. Always when I hear him talking, gives me energy and desire to play more and more.
In the final of video when he tell: "and who knows how long it will last" was touching and true wink.gif

Thanks a lot friend! I used my voice for creating vocal melodies for lots of years. I created all melodies for Cirse's songs and I'm all the time creating new ones. I didn't have a formal training, but luckily I have good ears so I rarely sing out of pitch... it just happens sometimes because of a technical limitation with my voice. I have been checking some videos at youtube and got interested in the different voices that you can get... head voice, chest voice, mixed voice so I'm experimenting.

And it's great when this happens and we can see it. It shows how each of us has a different perception of life and things happening around us. yeah, it's really amazing.

Awesome! From what I noted in my first views is that the first one shows basic singing concepts and the second one is more related to screaming.

Precisely - if you take up EVTS and CVT - you will notice that a lot of Melissa's first DVD concepts are pretty similar with the ones in CVT and EVTS. Let's face it - the anatomy of the human being is the same and the functioning principles of the organs are the same, so it's only normal for three good methods to strive in touching a set of important points, even if the names of the techniques are different. The principles are very much alike and the results as well smile.gif Check it out and make a comparison, you will be amazed of how much you will find out about yourself.
