In our last vid chat, I noticed all the students were sporting various IBANEZ guitars. Being just a little bit of an IBBY fan boy, I couldn't help but notice. smile.gif I took a pic and shared it on facebook and plan to post on the IBBY facebook page! Behold the majesty of the IBANEZ MAFIA smile.gif

I think IBBY should float us some free gear for being such strong supporters of their spiff axes!

That's right!! You are the proud owner of a spiff Ibby 7421 Seven string right?

The ibby 7421 is a killer 7 string and sports one of the BEST 7 strings necks of ANY GUITAR ON EARTH imho smile.gif The Wizard 7 II.

Maybe...... it depends..... is don higgins is around ph34r.gif

yeah, totally traded it for a 1990 Gibson SG. I really loved the neck on the ibby but a few other issues with it were starting to bug me a bit.
maybe Im just a minor pentatonic gibson fanboy after all and not the whammy wielding metal dude I thought I was!

Well, not a metal machine for sure. But a great axe nonetheless ... and one of my favorites!

You've gone to the DARK SIDE!!! smile.gif I can safely say I didn't enjoy my RG8, although some folks like them quite a lot. For me the neck felt a bit thick for an Ibby, so far my fav 8 string for the money is actually a Dean!!! The RC8x can be had NEW with hardshell case for about $400 in ebay which is nice since it lists for $1,400!!!! talk about a steal!!

The good starting point for ibby 8 seems to the Iron Lable 8 with a better bridge and better pickups smile.gif

NICE!!!!! THE RGXXX REISSUE!!! I want one of those BAAAAADDD!!! I've been looking for a use for for a long time and no luck. I'll keep looking I guess. I'd like the RED one as red guitars, everyone knows, are faster!!!

They have EBay.co.uk right? or you could just by from here and ship? some vendors do international shipping, some will include it in the price! The american ebay has a HUGE selection of guitars. Of course you are buying blind which is always a danger but if you can find a deal with less than a fourth of list, its hard to say no on a brand new instrument.

If you get a chance, in a music store that has deans, try the RC8x along side the starter Ibby RG8 and see what you think. I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts as well smile.gif Forgive me if I'm making assumptions on this as I don't know what the music store scene is like there. Here we have "GUITAR CENTER" which is like a grocery store for guitars.
