hey guys, I've been working on this song for quite a bit now and it's almost complete. I finally got to use my new cabinet for recording as well as get my friend on vocals, Here's a super short clip of it for now untill i'm done with it. I know it's not a lot to judge but i'd love to hear feedback from you all, also it'd be cool for the guys who've seen my old stuff as a comparison to this one. hope it sounds ok and keep on rockin

Sounds promising wink.gif It's a very short demo to make a detailed opinion.

If I compare this with your old stuff, it's a big difference. As example between "Endless" or "A Month After the Storm" and "World Decay" (my favorite from your songs smile.gif ) it's a big difference from the conception idea, tone, relaxing and precision of playing and mixing.
You know in "Endless" I had the feeling that it's a mix from different songs. I mean, somehow my feeling was that at every 16 bars will start a new different part. This change of parts was to regular.
In World Decay it's total opposite. It sound as a very good song and the changed of parts are totally unexpected. I can't guess what it will be next and you have connection between parts. That's why I think this song is the best of yours smile.gif And the mix it's perfect for my taste smile.gif This is my humble opinion judging like a listener wink.gif

Hi mate! Congrats on this track! This short sample just give me want for more!

I think that the quality of your recording and mix is much better compared with the previous recordings. I notice a big improvement in your guitar sound as well as the drums, which from my point of view could sound even more real. I'm not totally convinced with the snare sound, it's a bit weak, and make me think on a sample instead of a real drum kit. I would try with other sound or at least with more intensity variations and a different EQ.

It's a great idea to create a youtube video that includes lyrics, it makes the sound easier to follow, at least for me that English is not my main language. It's a good addition.

I can say that I'm really anxious to hear the whole thing!

Indeed, I agree with Monica and Gabi!

Your writing skills have evolved greatly and I can definitely say this left even me wanting more biggrin.gif I told you I like the instrumental parts but the cookie monster voice is a bit too much for my taste.

Now, that snare could be stronger indeed, but otherwise, let's hear the whole tune, mate! What is this one about and what is the general thematic of your songs?

Anytme, matey! You have progressed a lot and I am looking forward to see the song ready wink.gif

Now, I am a bit curious - do you sing clean vocals as well, or just extreme style ones? biggrin.gif

Ah, I thought it would've been interesting to hear you sing as well - I am sure you can sing biggrin.gif We all can, but we're generally too afraid to try and too disbelieving in ourselves to budge our arses into learning wink.gif In any case, maybe you guys can make layered screams - low pitch and high pitch - check out this example at 01:15
