Found an Ibby with a Poplar Burl top over Mahogany that I"m really digging the look of smile.gif It's not for everyone to be sure!! Some folks seem to hate the way this axe looks. What do you guys think?

You are not alone!!! I've read that same thought from many others elsewhere on the web. It's not a pretty guitar I must admit, but something about it, I find striking smile.gif

I think your right smile.gif I zoomed in on it and loved the detail. But i can see what folks mean by "it looks like it's rusting" smile.gif

i like it. makes me think of an alien relic of some forgotten civilization built of cyclopean and nameless structures, an instrument used to play the heaviest of metals, but evolved from a dystopian future past where electricity has not yet be discovered, and music is transferred from player to listener via theta waves, so as to impend the darkest doom, fear, and dread, lost for eons and newly discovered to cast a sonic shadow of everlasting despair and cosmic unease...
i like poplar burl.
