This idea is loosely based on the latest picture, though I had more of a wizard fight in my mind:

EDIT: Full song now done.

Wou!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are no words to describe how happy I am of finding this full song here. I have told you many time how talented you are and how promising your short ideas are, and now thanks to this thread you decide to take a killer idea and expand it into a full song. This is epic mate, and this should be the first step in your career as a guitarist/composer.

The track is consistent, as well as the different parts, melodies and riffs, it has a hook which is something fundamental from my point of view. I think that it would be awesome if you can continue producing this one, adding some synth sounds and release it as your first simple.

Congratulations friend! smile.gif

Hi gab, as far as making this one just one of those chord progressions that just sounds very sad. That one that i use in particular with the classical guitar,i believe fits the picture perfectly. Specially using the descending chords into the minor 6th, I believe it creates that sound for ballads and sad songs in particular. But that's just my opinion and my personal preference, since you know am Hispanic so i was influence by a lot of ballads back in the day.

Interesting stuff mate. Thanks for sharing.

What do you exactly mean by "descending chords into the minor 6th"?

QUOTE (fzalfa @ Jun 19 2015, 12:29 PM) *
hi here

i mean inspirated

this track was a bad one, i have done a far better one...

it always like a rough cause i lake of technical knowledge.....

https://soundcloud.com/dizy-laurent/blues-sad

this one is more "controled", not easy to manage the emotional flow too my finger, want to do to much without sometime how to

Laurent

Hi Laurent, I can hear the improvements on this one and I have to say that it's exactly the direction I meant. This one sound more controlled, is nicer to hear and it still has that original sad feeling, with a more professional performance. Very good job, keep going on this direction!

Don't be mad, Gab - but I took some time away from the Bendy Blues lesson so I can come up with this ph34r.gif

So picture this: It's the zombie apocalypse - and there is a man walking through the empty streets of a city - tormented by the images of everyone and everything he ever loved taken away from him.

And cue music:

https://soundcloud.com/stortzmusic/he-who-lost-it-all

That's the story in my head while I came up with this. I'm actually quite surprised by it - it's been such a short time but in that little time that I have been working with you my musical creativity has shot through the roof!!!

I look forward to continuing our work together biggrin.gif

Thanks Gab.

Very nice, Laurent. I don't have the words in english to explain correctly what I have in mind but for me, the picture of horror, fear and thriller : "what is happening there ?"

Wou mate! I love this! It has a very dark feeling. I feel that the walkers are coming, but there is nothing to do... no way to go... so it's that mix of scare with sadness.... the arpeggio reflects the walk... the guitar solo reflects the sad feel. Do you see it like me?

Thanks for your composition mate. Really good!

yeah man! I can see the picture. I like watching the Walking Dead and there are many moments in which this is the feeling that the people on that series has, and I can say that this tune could fit amazingly over it.

I'm also impressed by the quality of music that you guys are submitting here! This thread is pure inspiration.

Thanks everybody for joining! smile.gif

OK, just had a quick go at this one, I know where I want to go with it, I don't think I'll be able to come up with any solo work for it, it's a bit too heavy for my skill level at the moment. I tried to make it menacing and hectic for when the attack actually starts. If anyone can guide me a little with the rhythm part. I struggled to get the timing right, I tried to do it much slower but I am not Mr Iommi wink.gif I know the tone isn't too good on the rhythm but I can work on that.

Cheers folks.

I can picture some bad ass guy tromping through the snow hacking zombies with an axe.

Straight from a movie - how much of your Roland did you use for this?

Thanks for the link, man! I'll have to check out the demo - that price isn't bad at all.

i can run it in my daw and use midi, correct?

I've been adding software to my VST/VSTi collection - and this doesn't seem bad for the price at all!

Wou!! This is totally killer Ricky! It sounds like a movie!! I'm impressed on how you composed and arranged this idea. The strings mark a very cinematic rhythm that generates suspense, while the guitar is like saying goodbye.... There is not only top quality musical stuff, it transmits lot...

what VSTi are you using for strings and piano? Is it all there on the Magix music maker?

Thanks for the comment Gabriel,All the sounds come with program. they are call soundpools and they include different genre of music with their respective instruments( or you can call them different grooves) that you can drag and drop on the program to make different songs. examples of several instruments include drums, bass, guitar, strings, wing instruments, etc. you can also purchase more soundpools and add them to your collection. its also comes with a lot of vst plugins you can use with your keyboard or midi keys. watch this video and see how easy is to make a song.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nSCOX38R9Q

Also i forgot to mention, the soundpool genre i use for this is called "Movie Score", which comes with all those awesome sounds and more.
