Whats nice about it is it keeps the levels same (or close) as you tweak. For example; we sometimes increase a frequency and the track gets louder. What happens is as the track gets louder we start to believe that it sounds better. This complicates things and mixing can be a hard experience for some. This eq is aimed to solve this issue, give it a shot and keep in mind the payware option has nice extra features in it.

I'm wondering how I could implement this into my setup? A lot of the terminology goes over my head at the moment so It's hard to understand. Sometimes we can use things without understanding the manual because they are intuitive, don't know about this though

Is it something you can just dive into without using the manual?

Yeah its all about how you want to hear what. Its actually the same as the eq we have on car or home stereo systems, as we can increase/decrease bass of a song to our liking.

But sure this is the professional option, for absolute beginners I recommend something that has graphics like the reaeq or waves reneq where you can see whats changing instead of following numbers;



Since there are no rules in audio it can be a bit complicating for beginners, just experiment till you get an understanding. Later for example when you record something and think something like its too bassy or too dark then and eq will help a lot.
