As the title suggest I am kind on the hunt for delay and reverb pedal.~

Tbh is for my own personal satisfaction (collecting pedals, etc.etc) rather than band setting (which I dont mind expanding it too, if the opportunity arises).
Mainly looking for some Space Exploration Kinda post-rock with loops maybe a few shoegaze at the side.

I might try some Street-playing. Still have to plan it out.

But my knownldge of gear is pretty ..meh.

I am not looking for any particual brand or most expensive. Just something cool and somehow versatile.

So far I've been aiming TC Elec Hall of Fame Reverb

The mxr carbon copy delay is a very safe suggestion.

Its analog, has simple but effective modulation (which can be set although factory setting is pretty good). Can be used with highgain solos too as well as clean and sound cool with slight amp reverb (on its own has nice depth too). personally I'm a delay guy if I have a relativly cool reverb on the amp (most reverb options on pedals feel too experimental for me).

hall of fame is a cool reverb, buddy of mine sold it for a stymon but misses its ease of use.

I LOVE the TC verb and dly pedals. I have 3 of each!

They're incredibly versatile, especially with the toneprint feature - which works perfectly (android or ios).
They sound great.
Super quiet.
Very well made.
They use standard 9v. power.

If you want full analog ...
Delay - MXR 'Carbon Copy' and Malekko '616'
Reverb - Malekko 'Spring Chicken'

Combined - Keeley 'Caverns' (verb and dly, both separately foot switchable).

That reverb that you are aiming is a great option, and deal.

For those styles that you want to explore, I think that the brand Strymon has great ones. Have you ever explored their pedals?

A friend of mine has it and he regrets buying one. It didn't work properly with the fx loop of any of his amps (too transparent), I recently send him a link on how to make it 100% wet but don't know if he tried that yet.

Also if one isn't much of a tweaker, atleast the bigsky version isn't for him/her.

He recently bought a digitech supernatural reverb, now that reverb can go 100% with the knob. I also liked it, great for experimental and traditional use+no hassle setting it up. Didn't sound any lo-fi to me next to the strymon at all.

It kinda sucks I live in the middle of nowhere, talking guitar gear wise.
The last shop,with decent stuff, near me (30 min drive) closed 4 years ago. So I have no really place to try stuff.
Unless if I want to spent 2hours in a car. Which is kind tough nowadays tbh.

So yeah, I am always kind of one step back when I wanna adquire new gear.

Anyways, thank you for your suggestions./ I'll have it in consideration before cashing out.

For shoegaze and post rock? I'll put in another vote for the Strymon Timeline.

My main delay is the Way Huge Supa-Puss, its an analog delay with bucket brigade chips so you get that memory man vibe. I'll be honest i've used the pedal with the delay off just for the fantastic pre amp it has but the delays are just smooth crunchy and beautiful, lots of tweaking can be done. Theres also a quirky Chase mode that cycles through the rhythmic division to the set tap tempo.

Just watched a few demos of Devin messing around with it. It kinda looks like an intimidating piece of NASA machinery But totally awesome.

This resource (That Pedal Show) may help in making a choice as many of the delays and reverbs discussed here are featured in the videos. I have myself considered the Strymon Big Sky and the Timeline as well as the MXR Carbon Copy and the Carbon Copy Bright and the MXR M300 Reverb.

Those Strymon pedals are pretty spendy though.

Definitly one of those delays on my to-try list aside crazy stuff it can do, Tap-tempo (and subdivision) is super useful for matching the delay to a song.

I do have experience with the aqua-puss, almost zero-delay setting on that pedal really adds to the tone. Might be a great second delay for you

That is really your best best IMHO There is nothing like actually hearing the gear before you buy it and seeing how you get along with it. Every bit of gear is a bit different and some pedals fit folks better than others just because of layout, buttons/knobs or lack thereof.

It's worth a trip to try everything you can get your hands on . Then you can make a more informed decision. Hopefully they have a used version of whatever you are wanting so that you can save about half the money and buy two pedals instead of one Of all the ways I've found to save money, buying used, especially on pedals and such has been the best.
