George Harrison: Living In The Material World

It's at Netflix and it's GREAT!

I would like to ask GMCs if you meditate or have ever meditated?

Thanks for the share! I'll neflix this on the weekend. Looks cool smile.gif I tried something like meditation after my second near death experience after a vehicle accident. I was having wads of stress and diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder and my "shrink" got me to do some mental workout bits very close to meditation but a bit more focused. It did help smile.gif Just finding something positive and pleasant for the mind to focus on can be a good thing. Especially if your mind is heading to a dark place over and over.

Hi Todd, nice to know that meditation helped you with that issue. It's awesome to know that it can be that powerful.

Just a little detail, the documentary is 3:30 hours long so maybe you'll want to divide it in some days. The director is Scorsese.

The movie itself is almost like a Meditation or "positive visualzation session" (that's what my shrink called them). Because of it's pacing. It's a long haul and very relaxing. I found myself sort of leaving it on in the background and working on other things. It helps my mind stay focused somehow to have something playing in the backkground. Commercials yank me out of my concentration so I can't watch shows with commercials while I'm setting up to record or what not. It's gotta be movies I"ve seen before, not too many explosions. It's one of the few ways I've found to allow myself to focus for more than an hour or so at a time.

I started watching this last night, Its pretty cool. Good shout, Gab smile.gif
I like George Harrison, after recently 'discovering' the Beatles rolleyes.gif Ive gotten into his playing and songwriting a lot.

Also, I dont meditate but I wish I did smile.gif the closest I get is practising with a metronome. I find that quite hypnotic.
