Thnaks!

I already tested the new Jemjr smile.gif priced more competitive than I expected, looks are very good and sound is ok (typical inf PU). My only negative was the trem. as it didn't feel like a safe model (time will tell...) and such a guitar obviously needed a better setup (wasn't too bad though at the store).

I'm not looking to buy any guitars in 2018, I think, but some of them look very nice! I'm pretty settled, though I've just sold my old Schecter C7 to afford an used RGA8 which should arrive in a couple of days from Germany. I'm not going back into djent or anything, but I'd like to be able to play stuff like Haken's Affinity, which has some 8 string parts. As posted in another thread, I'm working on learning their track "1985".

Thanks for the share! You have a very nice collection of Ibbys. Add an 8 string and you should be set for 2018 smile.gif I had gotten up to about a dozen ibbys at one point til I finally found that 3570z I'd been looking for and sold most of them to buy it. I don't miss them though as the prestige is just magic.

Would have been nicer if they had the ibzusa pickups but thats cool too smile.gif Oh also notice the new tubescreamer, it uses the korg nano-tube and has a blend control.

This years catalog is very nice, a lot to discuss and I'm curious to try a few models especially. Like the AZ series (Shur and Fender are in trouble!), genesis and the frm200...they also increased the number of neck-through and multiscale models.

I'd really like one of these. The no pick guard 570!! Perfect reissue of the original with the magic neck smile.gif

Just a first impression, but IMHO this is really disappointing. Compared to the past few years, there is very little here that is new and exciting. Instead it seems like the emphasis is on recycling old ideas. The nutube-based pedal might be interesting though.

This is just one part of the catalogue. The part that has the re issue guitars that I and many other hard core Ibby nuts have been waiting on for years. The RG570 without the pick guard and using the original stock pickups is one I"d love to try. Those guitars have been legendary among shredders for decades for good reason. They are just the best tool for the job IMHO. My 3570z prestige is basically a RG570 with Dimarzio pickups and it's one of the best instruments I"ve ever played.

Not bad. It's not what I connect with the Ibanez guitar brand, but I know there are many models. To me, Ibanez = RG or JEM. That's what I associate with Ibanez, but of course they make other models smile.gif

For me the biggest surprise out of all the ibanez guitars till now was the SA series.

I was expecting something like a typical S, with singles that would sound thick. It was pretty much a strat in a semi-s body (the back is flat with the SA and slightly thicker), and that body shape was very comfortable. It also had a glued neck to my memory and used prices were stupid low as not many players I guess gave it a chance.

Best bang for the buck used strat type guitars if anyone is looking for something like that.

These two ibbies are also very nice. I like the new headstock shape.
