Collabing all the way to Iran and back with my bud Hamin. This track is mostly his bits and I arranged it and added some instrumentation. Sorta backwards of what we did last time. Please do let me know what you think it's very Djenty and has wack polyrythms as well.

The Heavy parts starts after the calm intro. It's got a really poly / pulling against the beat vibe, then smooths out and then returns to poly and so on. I added symphonic elements and arranged from the original stems.

Getting tougher and tougher to get feedback on tracks it seems. Hmm.

Unfortunately I have only side of the speaker working atm. So its kinda hard for me to judge.
But that part around 0:40-0:51 is really neat.

Yes, I've noticed that too. Speaking as student, it would be greatly appreciated if instructors could provide feedback when a student posts a track. Maybe have a sub-forum for that purpose if the problem is instructors are overlooking them.

On this track, I like the composition. The contrast between the two variations on the heavy parts works well. The guitar tone seems a little thin for my taste though. I know djent should sound crisp, but it's even difficult to tell if this is a guitar .

I always try to post feedback when I see a new track whether it's from a fellow instructor or a student. I appreciate you guys taking the time to listen to this one It say here with zero reply for a while and I was a bit shocked. But thankfully, all of the sudden, folks started to find it and now we have wad of feedback so alls well that ends well

I was just about to start sending personal message to invite folks to revview this track. Thankfully it didn't come to that If you or anyone notices that you are not getting traction on a track, I'd say start sending personal message to the staff faculty (myself/kris/gabe/etc.) in order to get the ball rolling!

Thanks for giving it a listen and for the feedback. I think you are right on the guitar tone. I didn't play any of the guitar on this or find the tones. I did the arrangement and adding string sections. There are some string sections that sorta sound like guitar bits even I also added HORN SECTION. Yup. It's more as a texture by the time the guitars are there you don't really here this stuff. It just adds to the overall sound. Here is just the soft bits without the djenty bits. It sounds quite different than the original tune. Check this out.

Some of the stuff you thought was guitar could be strings or even Horns!. I'll see if I can get stems of just the guitar for the final mix down. I was working with stems that had drums and guitar already put together for this one. Which made it sorta tough to put together.

Sounds really good! I don't listen to Djent so this all sounds fresh to me. I like the intro, melody theme, and airy symphonic bits. The polyrythms make my head spin a bit but has a nice groove when it kicks back into a more standard timing.

Thanks for checking it out I hear about the poly bits. They sorta make me feel like I'm short circuted, stop/start/stop/start and it doesn't conform to the timing of the tune. There is a little loop behind that bit to keep time with which helps a bit. I like the smoother part as well, it flows better and you can head bang to it which is a key criteria The poly bit is interesting because it's not something I think I would ever write. My partner on this did all the guitar recording. I just took the stems and put it together as a song and added symphonic bits on top He had the chunks, but it needed to be put together to work as a tune. Doing that was a very good excersise on song construction.

I'd suggest it to anyone. Get stems from someone, and try to put them together in to a cogent song structure. Makes for a very fun chalenge.
