well my dear friend
as good guitar player we are . we sit at home now and use the computer to write how bad some guitar players are but..... they are the ones who makes millions $$$$ this guys at green day as much as they don't know how to play, they still did something we all dream of to affect people through our own material. isn't that wort something?? Not a big fan at all. But I totally respect his incredible ability to write catchy songs that everyone will like. That's where I think his skill lies.

I think that Green Day is a great band and they have great songs. I don't care if they know or not what they are playing. That's not important for me. I just put their cds and I hear nice songs. There are a lot of shred or jazz guitar players that can't do a nice song.

Well i can just say that Green Day was the first band i ever listened to, it's where my music life started when my friend introduced them to me. But after a year or so i stopped listening to them.
As for technical abilities - i am having great fun playing arpeggios and crazy runs up and down the neck! It depends on a person what he enjoys so we can't say what is best! Just play what you like and that's it! The songs i am working on now....i don't expect anyone to like them - the most important for me is that i am having huge amount of fun playing that song! It is 80% shred but hell - i love it!!! So just stick to the things you love and you'll be happy! -------------------- "It isn't how many years you have been playing, it's how many hours." -- Prashant Aswani "PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!" -- Michael Angelo Batio Check out my video lessons and instructor board! |
