Hi guys! I have started a new band at my school, which is called Øreverk (norwegian slang word for tinnitur or pain in the ear).
We recorded the drums and guitar for our first song yesterday, and for that we used: A Marshall TSL 100 / JCM 2000 through a ENGL 4*12 cab, fully cranked on 10 on lead channel! A Marshall DSL 100 / JCM 800 (Hope I`m right about the names) through a Marshall 1960 cab, cranked to 8-10 or something on the clean channel, then we put a big muff in front of it. The guitar tone ended up HUGE! I have never played with that sort of tone before.... and amount of noise was INSANE! Check out this video, this is the amount of noise when the volume of the guitar was turned off... I will let you know when the song is posted, unless you would be so cool to "like" the band I think many of you will enjoy it...the genre is something close to stoner sludge metal, so it`s pretty heavy -------------------- Take your music seriously, but not yourself

You should really try it, if you have the opportunity! I`m not sure how good it is for the amp, even though I though that driving tube amps at loud volumes wears less on the tubes? But I can promise you, you will have a huge sound with some tweaking It is the studio at my school, a professional equipped studio, free at cost! So it`s really great to experiment with sound there when my band have booked it Very cool school. The sound like a big waterfall. -------------------- Gear:
