Can anyone give me some advice?

My daughter would like a new Acoustic guitar for Xmas. She would like an electric acoustic but I don't know what to get. I don't want something too expensive has she has to take it back and forth school, but I don'twant something that id rubbish either.

I found this one
and was wondering what you all think? Is it ok? are there better ones? what would you suggest, She is nearly 12 and can handle a full size guitar so that won't be a problem.

Guy's, this may be a stupid question, but does the sound from your guitar only come out of the computer speakers when you connect it up to the GX? I know it's for recording but I like the idea of changing the guitar sounds, like some of the examples in the tutorial vids.

I am thinking of getting one, but I see that you use a USB connector to connect it to the PC and the standard Jack to connect the guitar to it. Where does the sound come out? Just the pc speakers? or can you play the adjusted sound through your amp somehow?

your help would be appreciated

I have the bug!!!!!

I would like to get another guitar, but because I have no prior knowledge of guitars, I dont really know what I should be looking for. My first and only guitar is a squire Fender Strat (beginners kit). It's fine for now, as I am still not very good. But getting better!!!!!!. biggrin.gif

I do like the look of the Epiphone SG- 400 (But that is an Angus Young thing, and I can't aford a Gibson) biggrin.gif

I don't want to spend huge sums of money, but I'm assuming I need to spend a few hundred GBP.

What would your suggestions be when I start looking? what I'm looking for is your ideas as to what I should go and look at and try in the music shops.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you're on the right track then =)
The MTP will definetly give you a boost as well. I've heard from the people that's been in it for a while, that they're progressing faster then ever!
What other lessons then Smoke on the Water are you learning?
