I was looking at some of the lessons in Troy Stetina's "Speed Mechanics" (which is a GREAT book by the way) and came across Impellitterri's name. Of all the guitarists mentioned in that book, he is the only one I haven't heard of. So naturally, I had to look him up on Youtube. I must say, I was a bit blown away by how powerful his brand of power metal is. It has everything, Earth shaking riffs, ear-splitting falsetto, and blazing solos. Put a drip pan under your chin, because your face is about to be melted laugh.gif

Me too biggrin.gif After I looked him up I was surprised he been around so long and I haven't heard of him. I'm sure I've seen his name mentioned somewhere, but it never really registered with me.

He is a pretty amazing player. He's been around for a while. For a bit, people accused him of being an Yngwie clone but I personally never thought he was. He uses neo classical elementst but his actual playing style is unique to him.
