Say it was this simple 1, 2, 3, 4 scale… You’re saying you can play that (^) part okay, but when you have to go back up in reverse like this… … you run into trouble? Well my advice (aside from good old fashion practice) might be to try going from the low E string to the high E in the same pattern that you’re having trouble playing in reverse. Oct 5 2006, 09:55 AM	GMC:er Posts: 29 Joined: 28-August 06 From: Belgium	the above exercise is a chromatic exercise,it's not so difficult too read this tap(you call it diagram but it's called a guitar-tab) it works like this:if we take the 3th tab ,instrumental case gives you as an excercise the numbers stand for the fret the note is played on when reading a tab the string on top is the high E-string(or the thin E-string),the string at the bottom is the low E-string so when reading this tab you should start on the low E-string on the 4th fret with the pinky,3th fret with the ring-finger,2nd fret with the middle-finger,and 1st fret with index finger when you played all four these notes then move to the next string(the A-string) and do the same there etc...just remember to start with the pinky and not with the indexfinger so have fun practicing You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick.
