Jesse and I were discussing Yngwie and some leather pants. After some googling to find examples of Satch wearing them, I realized there's a few other folks --certain GMC instructors even-- who are not in the same class of megalomaniac as Yngwie and yet I've seen them wearing leather pants more often than YJM!

So. Answer honestly about your leather pants.

EDIT: Added a 5th choice.

I don't have one, as I have bit "dwarven anatomy" and my legs are short and "wide", so in such pants I would look terrible. Otherwise I would buy one pair for sure:D

EDIT: Voted;)

Dangit, I meant to add another choice for "Hey, I should buy some leather pants." or something. Let me see if I can do that as an edit.

Never! It's just not right for mens pants unless you're larger than life. Which I assume is what we're voting on, mens pants? Women can always wear them. But they can also wear a dress and look good, men can't.

Leather pants? I'd rather not tongue.gif

Personally I'd go with black jeans instead.

you have to have a certain swagger to carry of leather pants + plus a slim build or its just wrong. I would not wear them as i'm sure no one wants to see my builders backside lol.

How canyou call yourself a guitarist AND NOT HAVE AT LEAST ON PAIR OF LEATHER PANTS?

-Neoclassical Player? Yes Yngwie has leather pants!
-Blues Player? Yes Stevie Ray Vaughan wore them!
-Rock Player? Slash wore some that tight, they had to be cut of surgically from his legs!
-Virtuoso Player? Vai and Satriani are always wearing leather pants!
-Metal Player? HELLO?!? Every metal guitarist from every genre has at least a pair! Manowar are made of leather...
-Jazz/Fusion Player? I bet they have some too out of peer pressure, I mean everybody else wears them!

They don't look good on me, so I don't have one, but hey if they would look good, no reason not to get one, it's a classic, and there are so many models you can always find something for you and look cool.

You can't make a fair comparision with women. They can walk around in anything or nothing and still look cool. You are right in the last part. Men can't. No matter what smile.gif
