Imagine a big garden...Flowers and interesting arrangements, rocks, streams, maybe a little lake ... But everything is very big and obvious somehow. At one point you notice some very small flowers in a corner and you are heading that way, only to figure out incredibly intricate patterns created with the little flowers. Now transpose this idea into guitar playing - I thought that micro tonal bends could be the little flowers. You have no clue what they actually are but they are a very cool and unique detail, which can only be felt not explained exactly
This video is among my favorites - explained by the awesome Mr. GG himself
Now, are you growing the micro tonal little flowers in your garden? If yes, how did you come across them and are you aware of when to deploy them in your phrases?
Cosmin
That's a great way of explaining things Mr Lupu
I love doing this for chords, big fat dissonant chords
I do this all the time... Joe Bonamassas fault!
I don't think I could play guitar if I wasn't allowed my micro tonal bends
Man today i had a dream, that GG was having lunch at my grandma's place
Uh-oh and what was your grandma preparing?
As Ben says, micro tonal bends are a sort of thing that CAN NEVER be abused...as in they are never enough
