> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi MisterM! Congrats on this new take!

It's true that there is still work to do but the evolution compared with the previous take is very notorious. Your take is groovier and everything has more dynamics. If you keep on working having in mind the previous comments you will be making this one sound as good as the original take. smile.gif

Be careful with the timing of some sections, for example the lick at 00:58 and some of the bluesy slides, and also keep on improving your vibrato and bending techniques to make them even more consistent.

Keep on the great job!

Hey mate,

Nothing else to add here aside what Gabi has already said - the main idea is to keep playing the piece until it sounds even more natural then it does in this take. You have come up with a groovy and articulated take, but there are moments in which the playing is a bit rigid - 0:26 - 0:32 for instance.

Keep playing it and put your soul into it - in my opinion it's all that separates you from the 10!

All the best!

Cosmin

Yo, this is a lot better this time. You've got the staccato groove happening on the main riff - well done !

The timing is still shaky here. You are going in front of the beat a bit, ok ?

Your main nemesis is getting the clarity of all the notes in riffs / solo phrases and also managing to time it right. Concentrating on timing can often make us miss another aspect, so try to nail both of those elements as best as you can - keep up the good work smile.gif
