GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Help!

for the life of me i cant figure out how to hold my pick when alternate picking can anyone tell me,
or better yet, post a pic?

When you hold your pick try and have it angled. So instead of having the whole face of the pick facing towards the strings have it slightly angled when you do alternate picking this makes it easier. Hope this helped.

The problem here is that there is not one right way...
Several very talented pickers use a different grip.
Personnally I hold the pick between the thumb and index closing my hand.
The movement should come from the wrist, not the entire arm.
When I started, I practioce holding a small object in my hand to train myself to close the palm..
Just keep in mind that there are several good ways to do it...

I added a pick of how it looks like for me..

i dont have a picture yet but i hold my pick between my thumb and index finger with my pick angled downwards. i hold it similar to pavel
