Ok so im looking at getting either of these guitars, mostly for metal but also for some neoclassical shred. Which is better and what do Dean guitars feel like when being played?

Im positive you listen to Trivium. I think Corey's V would be better because Razorbacks are bulky and heavy. But having a razorback is a real prestige! Ive never played any of those guitars, im just stating the obvious problems you may face with a razorback.
I sotra like Ibanez guitars better.

Nobody can tell you how guitars feel like because it's too individual. Go to a store and try both v and razorback. Be aware that those are huge guitars and it might look silly if youre a small guy...
For the tone: Not everybody likes the dimebuckers so you might wanna go for the emg/24 fret versions of those guitars.
I can't stand Dean guitars. Lets all cash in on a dead man. That is good of them.
Plus they aren't fun to play.
I much prefer Parker, Caparison and ESP for the money
Per an interview with Rita Haney in this month's guitar world, who's the executor of Dime's estate, her and Vinnie Paul work closely with dean from the piles of sketches they have from DbD. These could have legitimately been guitar ideas that Dime would pitch, but I do agree that they've taken it a little far. So far every guitar except the razor back (he had a stealth, which they released this year at WNAMM) I've seen pictures of Darrell holding a similar one. But yeah, it is a touch ridiculous when you go to their site and they have more DbD sigs than they have other guitars they offer.
Edit: But, in all fairness, the ML was a model of theirs before Dime made it popular. It's almost like criticizing Gibson for making too many Les Pauls or Fender for too many strats I guess.
It's not just Dean, they're cashing in on the "brilliance snuffed out before it's time" / "musical martyrdom" wave that everyone assigns to any celebrity that is killed (by someone else or drugs).
I would go for the Razorback V.
I think it looks cooler, and it is alot lighter than the ML, But still heavy. The tone is great, and the feel and playability is superb.
I believe V's are great for live shows when you're standing, but I hate practicing on my V sitting down. Might just be me though =)
Most people do, when you get used to it though, its very comfortable. Now i love playing my V Sitting down.
V for sho But id check out the new schecter V's having a Dean DbD is a little.. over the top i always think..
Its $1800 in Australia and i have been told that for $1800 you can get a much better quality guitar with an original floyyd rose trem. Would this be a better idea to look at other brands?
I love Deans the Dimebucker in the Razorbacks are sweet, I also like the Dean from Hell.
+1 for practicing with a V sitting down. It's very comfortable for me. An offset V, I have more problems with, but a V or King V is fine. I have to play with guitars over my left knee that aren't V's .
EDIT:
And if you're going to shell out that kind of cash and don't mind NOT having a tremolo, but rather obscene sustain and insist on a Dean, I say get the Dave Mustaine VMNT1. I like the body/neck better than the Dean Razor V, and I like the Live Wires better than the Dimebucker.
Of course, those are both highly subjective features.
I like dean guitars (kind of), but they just dont play the way I would like them to. But if i could, I'd happily get a double guitar by dean, such as the one Michael Angelo Batio uses.
