Hello

I'm going to try to record a collab lesson, and I have the .mp3 backing, and reaper software.

The question is:

Do I have to convert the mp3 backing into a track for reaper, and then make a nother track with the solo, and then render both into a single .mp3 file? (And also the solo alone).

How do I put the backing into reaper?

Thanks cool.gif

Edit: Ok just the second after I post this I saw the "Insert media file option" in reaper biggrin.gif

I guess That's the way to do it, isn't it?

Hi fran, just click insert then choose media file, pick your file then away you go, it`ll import it into a track for you smile.gif

record your part on a seperate track, then render the two together to mp3, then remove the backing track and render just the solo on its own to mp3 smile.gif

Have you d/loaded the lame mp3 encoder for reaper from their site? you`ll need to if you havnt and put the lame.dll into the reaper file.
