Favourite guitarist is atm Marc Morton for sure, hes a beast. 3. I wanna get as good as possible, find like minded people dedicated and give it a real go when im good enough, i want to be better than good.Make a band and play my own songs live. 4. 5 years, hmmm my shredding and fast notes are so very much improved i can do those real solos and not the easy stuff i do atm, wanna be in a band and play regurarely. 5. Right now all i do is workout, play games, play guitar and take care of my dogs so id say i play maybe 5-6 hours aday sometimes less sometimes more.I do lessons and new stuff maybe an hour or 2 then practice my old stuff the rest, mostly my own riffs 6. I have, was a singer and guitarist in several bands between 12 and 21, we did prety ok for a small town, played school radio, the local places, did some grill party gig outside which was aweseome, also opened up the the main act once in a bigger city, but that was long ago. Played some partys and stuff as well. so yeah, some live experience but all in all maybe 15-20 gigs 7. Strong sides, i can make my own songs, hear stuff in my head and play them. not always ofc. I play ok. I can read tabs pretty quick Stamina is pretty good since all that powerchord strumming. Weak sides, theory, playing solo stuff, speeding up, i rush and have to force myself to lower tempo so i learn correctly. Scales. I also never talk music to anyone so i dont know the talk if you understand what i mean, i know some basics but its almost embarrasing. I have adhd as well so stuff i dont find fun just dont get stuck. especially stuff i just read. What i see hear and do gets stuck forever though. 8. I have a crappy 720p camera which i have toi use in daylight atm which we never get this time of year in sweden but gonna buy a new logitech one, the 1080p so may ppl use, not gonna be able to do that this month though. The drums are just there to play to, i use a metronome at the same time as well 1.Ive been playing since i was 12, 32 now but that was jus powerchord punkrock and hardcore, the early mid 90s stuff like raised fist, strife etc. so nothing advanced. 2.Lamb of god, as i lay dying, blink, bad religion, sum 41, millencolin, raised fist, refused, Bring me the horizon, driveway park, while she sleeps etc etc. Just got into like metal so much new stuff for me but mostly metalcore stuff. Hi Tommy! Thanks for all this great info about you. You've been very clear so I feel that I already know you.
Whle I'm writing this, I'm listening to your song and I'm really enjoying it. I have to say that you have one of the most important things a musician needs, a good ear and creativity. These are two basic things that are a must if you want to create your own music and play it with your band. The other two lacking polishing technique and music theory, just need diary practice and that's what we'll do here, but always focusing on applying everything to your music. You said that you are interested on improving your soloing techniques so it would be really good to see you playing some melodies and solos. I was thinking on starting with this lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...nner-solo-in-d/ Do you like it? The good thing of this one is that includes many technique in a single solo. -------------------- My lessons

Great! Yeah, you are right, it's good to be open minded and work on different styles with your guitar, but we mustn't do it right now since the main goal at first is keep motivation. So feel free to choose any other solo from our archive to record but please to to choose one that combines different techniques as bending, vibrato, alternate picking and legato.
You can use our search machine for that: HERE. -------------------- My lessons

ahh ok! now I understand. Well, please be careful if you are going to adjust your guitar calibration. Be sure that you are not damaging it and if things becomes complex go and visit a professional. It's always good to have a luthier in who you can trust.

Hi Tommy! Thanks for the update. What is exactly giving problems with the As I Lay Dying lesson? Alternate picking or legato?
About your songs, what style are them? do you need some assistance or feedback with the composition? -------------------- My lessons

Hi Tommy! Cool to hear from you! I hope that snow let's you play guitar the next days!
About the As I lay Dying lesson, I recommend you to use the guitar pro file to practice along at slower tempos since you can set a slower tempo and still hear the guitar line to guide yourself while playing. I'll be here ready to check your new song in progress so please post it as soon as you have demo. -------------------- My lessons

Hi Tommy! Congrats on this idea! I have to say that it's totally killer!! I love the energy and groove and I can imagine some catchy raspy and screamy voices over this one.
Let me be more detailed: The introduction is very good. It has that classic metal influence that many metalcore incorporate to modern metal. The riff starting at 00:28 sounds good but I feel that the second repetition needs a change, I get bored of it played twice. Maybe some little changes in guitar, drum or the addition of harmonization can work. I assume that this part is still instrumental, if it has vocals maybe it can be ok. The verse, starting at 00:44 rocks. I love the groove and I would like to hear some Lamb of god style vocals there. Then follows the chorus full of octave chords which I think is brilliant. The vocal melody is very important there and once you have it, it would be good to adapt some arrangements to the vocal rhythm to make the part sound less generic and simple. The riffs that appears after the chorus is also really cool but I think that repeating it twice would be enough, then the song needs a change. Mostly a rhythm change made by drums. You could create a variation of the verse with drums going mid tempo and more connected with guitar. Ok mate, this are just ideas that came to mind when I listened to the idea. Took the ones that you feel you like and continue working on this one. I think that this is VERY promising. -------------------- My lessons
