I've been watching your instagram feed and it looks like a very cool trip! That castle looks very cool on the gram. Thanks buddy, There are loads of castles in this county around 18 all in different states of decay. At the moment, due to Covid19 you can't enter the castles but one day we will. Probably going here tomorrow, its only a 15 minute drive. https://www.pictoncastle.co.uk/ Cheers Phil -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight. England too, in fact I live ten minutes from one which opened to the public in the 1930s the castle itself is 950 years old this year https://www.dudleyzoo.org.uk/dudley-castle/...ual-exhibition/ which is slightly older than the village I was born and bred in http://www.kingswinford.com/kingswinford/kfordhistory.htm
The whole of Europe has many castles Looks very cool!! I hope one day I can visit and see all these spiff places Some great castles in Scotland as well from what I understand. Keep up the pix! Todd Take this episode in history as a lesson. Every American needs to go to Europe for a minimum of 3 weeks, preferably a month or more. I don't care if you think you "can't afford it". Just figure it out. Whatever it costs you, the experience is worth triple that. After this pandemic BS is over with ... just do it! *BS as in I can't believe we actually have to deal with a plague in the 21st century. -------------------- - Ken Lasaine

Great point Ken, People I know take long haul flights and haven't even seen the beauty in the UK never mind the Mediterranean countries which are all stunning. We used to visit Menton in the south of France in July /August for two weeks and it is very unspoilt, it is a bit like a French equivalent of Tenby which is ten miles from where we are now. Menton is a town that the Rolling Stones used to visit on their boat for croissants when they stayed in Nice, I found that out whilst reading Keith Richards'rather flowery autobiography, he also said that it was in Italy until some treaty in the 1920s moved the border. The people there speak either French, Italian or some kind of hybrid of both. Its the only place I've heard the people have a conversation, one speaking French, one speaking Italian and the other speaking English, that was interesting listening to the English and working out what the conversation could possibly be about. There are some stunning places in Europe, Cheers Phil This post has been edited by Phil66: Aug 23 2020, 07:28 PM -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight. Here's some UK acts, I hope you like them, of course being a metal head you may already know about them.

I've traveled on cruise ships but it's not the same. You don't get off the boat long enough to absorb very much. I've always wanted to go to Germany to see a bunch of Metal bands as there are just wads of them stuffed in every part of Germany and most of Europe. The play actual shows, or they used to before the plague. In Georgia we had one venue that had Metal acts and it's turning in to condos. Even now that I"m near Tampa Florida, the very home of Death Metal, it's just kinda dead due to plague and was a bit dead before that. The band I'm playing lead in right now ARKASA is a german band. I think I'm in the wrong place. Also want to visit Denmark. BEN has shared wads of killer bands that are from Denmark. Also would get to see BEN along the way -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight.
