Hi guys! I want to ask if there is a program which will write the tabs while you are playing the notes simultaneously?

I was thinking along the lines of:
1) Using Jam Origin Midi guitar software solution VST 2)The mentioned vst to create a midi track 3) Import the midi track to Guitar Pro 4) Re-tweak if necessary |

I'm sure you will handle yourself with the program My mistake was that I didn't know what setting to make in the program to delimit the right hand with the left hand. If anything goes wrong tell me and I will ask my friends. Thank you so much Monica I was thinking along the lines of: 1) Using Jam Origin Midi guitar software solution VST 2)The mentioned vst to create a midi track 3) Import the midi track to Guitar Pro 4) Re-tweak if necessary Thank you korblitz! I will make it by sibelius I think but I don't know which way is easier.. |

If you manage to make it work[using a guitar to tab out] with Sibelius, please do a small tutorial.

YES IT's called GUITAR PRO.
You can download a demo for free. You can get a midi guitar that is actually a game controller for about $60 or so and connect it via Midi to USB cable to your computer. Open GUITAR PRO and click MIDI INPUT ACTIVE. As you play, the notes will be written in to the tablature I use this method for making my guitar tablature each and every sat/sun for my video chat lessons so I know it works Here is a link to the type of midi guitar I use. It's actually a game controller http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003RRTXY...d=ATVPDKIKX0DER and here is the midi to usb adapter about $5 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001LJUVO...=A3V6BK4D0HKA8F Hi guys! I want to ask if there is a program which will write the tabs while you are playing the notes simultaneously? SOFTWARE SOLUTION KORBLITZ idea is quite clever!! I have a copy of that software and I'll try that too. I wonder if you could make GUITAR PRO see the output of the software so you could do it in real time? I"ll try it YOu can also buy a little box that converts your guitar signal to MIDI but I have one and it's not that accurate So I gave up on it. So far, of everything I"ve tried, using the game controller has been the most simple Todd This post has been edited by Todd Simpson: Sep 9 2013, 04:00 PM |

Let's not forget the importance of being able to write your own licks down and actually hear what you're playing

Once you get used to software like Guitar Pro, you will become very fast and efficient at typing tabs in. I'd just learn the software you're using in and out
