In this vid he delves in to the mysteries of muted legato without picking. Basically using the right hand only while the left hand does the muting. I've been banging on about this very thing for years!!! smile.gif

I think Rick is great, I also think that the music industry is at such a low point when someone with his talent doesn't find it viable to either play live as a solo act or be part of a band. I'm not knocking him or his chosen route though and I know he is busy with private lessons etc but this is why it really does seem to be the end of the 'Guitar God' era

It's the end of the old "Guitar God" era for sure. But the new "Guitar God" era seems focused on youtube and there are a plethora of Guitar Gods now, and they speak every language on earth. This is handy for folks who are not native english speakers to be sure. Also it's never been a better time for folks live in remote locations or have other issues, in that youtube flattens the playing field quite a bit. It is sad that folks can't make a living like they used to imho. Selling CDs/touring/being in a band, but times change. We just gotta change with em smile.gif
