GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ sweeping problem

hi guys,
in this lesson "http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guitar/sweeping-lesson/index.htm" (image 2) the picking "up up down down down up up down down down" is used. but why it is not : up up up down down up up up down down" ??
i prefer up up up down down but i dont want to learn sth. wrong. so which picking is right?

Well the best thing would be to let you practice YOUR way - and when you come to a point where you just can't play it faster you'll realize that's the wrong way.

But as this is the Masterclass i'll try to explain you: for now - when you are playing at low speeds this seems as a completely good alternative to my picking. But as soon as you get to higher speeds you'll notice it just doesn't work.
