I am a very busy college student with a busy work schedule. On most days I can only play guitar for about an hour. I am overwhelmed with how much there is to learn on GMC. What is the best way to make use of my one hour a day? Should I divide it up with 20 minutes practicing scales and then 40 minutes practicing other lessons?

You could divide half hour and half hour.
30 min:

-10min scales
-10min theory
-10min improvisation

30 min:

-10 min of one lesson
-10 min of one lesson
-10 min of one lesson

Is not a lot of time on each thing but if you do it everyday I think you'll notice some improvement

You can use first 10 minutes for warmup , so scales practice at slow tempo is a good idea...Second 20 minutes can be theory study with immediate application to guitar and/or improvisation.

I would recommend using second 30 minutes for only one lesson - which focuses on certain techniques/theory you want to master.
