Ok so I'm running Cubase LE on a computer with Windows XP. I want to buy a mixer that will give me enough channels to mic up a drum kit and I want to be able to connect it to my computer via usb? does anyone know the difference between an analog and digital mixer? Also right now i'm using an alpha lexicon box to record guitar through some normal speakers and am running it like this.
Computer<->box<->head->cab
box->speakers
I'm using a 100 watt ashton head and every time I turn on the distortion is sounds really bad. Is this probably because I don't have flat line speakers and should I get flat line speakers if I want to make my distorted guitar parts sound good on playback smile.gif

Hi guys, I was practicing scales for 45 minutes with a metronome just now and my hand tarted to really hurt, which is unusual, so i stopped. Any Ideas why my hand started hurting just after 45 mins? I had the guitar sitting on my lap with my thumb on the back of the neck, should i bring it closer to my neck so i dont hve to stretch my wrist?

Hi smile.gif I had my first day of AIM (australian institute of music) yesterday ad they gave me some sheet music. Above a bar it has C*7, where the * is a little triangle. What does the little triangle mean?

Hi so my band Pegamixel played our first gig thing at a school performance night. We did YYZ by Rush. I'm the guitarist smile.gif I made a few mistakes but can anyone give me their opinion on how we sounded?

Ok so over the last two days i've been doing my year 12 music practical assessment. I played Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne today, which I found pretty easy, and I played the crying machine by Steve Vai yesterday. I have bad nerves, so when i played Vai, i forgot the solo on the spot! But thanks to all of the mode phrasing lessons here on GMC, I just improvised my way around it. At one point my whammy bar fell out so i ran it down the strings as if it was planned haha. So thanks so much guys smile.gif
